The 2021 Tour de Whatcom is Saturday, July 17th

The event will follow all current CDC recommendations and State Mandates of COVID Protocol.

We ask the following of each rider…

  • Wear a mask at the start/finish area and while at rest stops if unvaccinated.
  • Please allow 6-feet between yourself and other riders who are not in your party if you are unvaccinated.
  • Wash and sanitize your hands frequently.
  • If you are feeling ill the day or week of the ride, please stay home.
  • If you have had contact with someone who has symptoms or tested positive for COVID, please stay home.

Changes to the 2021 ride due to staff and volunteer constraints are…

  • The Alger rest stop (and all stops) will have restrooms, a hand washing station and water station (no food service at Alger).  Bellingham is the only stop with a bike mechanic but we have SAG Wagons along the entire route and bike shops nearby.  Bellingha, Lynden, Birch Bay and Ferndale will all have snacks.
  • Snacks will be available the morning of the ride (7:30-9:00 am) at the start line for Century and Metric Century riders to fuel up..
  • Each ride will have a 30-45 minute window start time in order to stagger riders and the start line will be in the alley behind Boundary Bay instead of in front on Railroad.
  • There is no official After Party this year but Boundary Bay Brewery will have their beer garden open for beers and BBQ. Happy Hour priced drinks when you show your bib!
  • The Bike Corral has been suspended for 2021 so please plan accordingly.
  • There will not be photographers on the course taking group pictures.

We appreciate your understanding and your support this year!

Ride distances for every rider! Grab a friend and tour through Whatcom County.

Boundary Bay Post-Ride Party : 2021 Subdued Version

The Boundary Bay Brewery Beer Garden After Party will look a little different this year but the good news is that they will still be serving up their delicious brews and BBQ for you to purchase in the Beer Garden!  They are also offering happy hour prices on drinks when you show your bib.

You can also make a reservation for their full service restaurant right here!  They will also allow a limited amount of bikes at your table if seated in the beer garden as long as they are not in the way of customers or servers.  This is only an option for folks who don’t want to lock up to the bike racks out front or your vehicle.  Please be respectful of the space.

Raffles will be postponed until 2022, thank you for your understanding!
