In the past three years, Tour de Whatcom has given away $42,000.00 to non-profits. In 2017, the beneficiary of your ride was the WMBC-Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition.

We are grateful to be the beneficiary of proceeds from the Tour De Whatcom and to Whatcom Events for recognizing our organization; without all of the dedicated community members contributing to this organization over the years, we wouldn’t have the 50+ miles of mountain biking trails we currently have access to. This enables our organization to continue growing and seize on opportunities that are paramount to making Whatcom County a world class recreation destination, namely the newly voted on reconveyance lands and our proposal for expanded mountain bike access and trails in Larrabee State Park.

WMBC Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition

Every year the WMBC coordinates hundreds of volunteers amounting to thousands of volunteer hours for the trails in Whatcom County. They have a strong youth involvement and work with the Bellingham School District, Lummi Nation Tribal School, Mt Baker School District, Ferndale School District, Boy Scouts of America for Eagle Scout Projects, among others.
